§ 150.16. Restrictions.

  • (A)

    Within the area colored red and classified as the fire limits or the primary fire limits of the town as shown on the official map on file in the Town Clerk's office, no frame or wooden building or structure or addition thereto shall be erected, altered, repaired or moved (either into the limits or from one place to another within the limits), except upon the permit of the Inspection Department for the town which has been approved by the state's Commissioner of Insurance. Additionally, no frame or wooden building or structure or addition thereto shall hereafter be erected, altered, repaired or removed (either into the limits or from one place to another within the limits), except upon the permit of the Inspection Department for the town, and unless the erection, alteration, repair or relocation of the building meets all the requirements of the Building Code of the town and the rules and regulations of the state's Department of Insurance.

    (B)

    Within the area colored brown and classified as the secondary fire limits of the town as shown on the official map, no frame or wooden building or structure or addition thereto shall hereafter erected, altered, repaired or moved (either into the limits or from one place to another within the secondary limits), except upon the permit of the inspection department for the town which has been approved by the Board of Commissioners. Additionally, no frame or wooden building or structure or addition thereto shall hereafter be erected, altered, repaired or removed (either into the limits or from one place to another within the limits), except upon the permit of the Inspection Department for the town, and unless the erection, alteration, repair or relocation of the building meets all of the requirements of the building code of the town or any variances lawfully authorized thereunder.
