§ 94.17. Duties of chief of police.

  • It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to:

    (A)

    Have supervision and control of the police force and report to the mayor any dereliction of duty on the part of any member of the police force;

    (B)

    Collect all fines and penalties imposed and pay the same to the Town Treasurer;

    (C)

    See that laws and ordinances of the town are enforced and to do such other things as may be specially required of him or her by the Board of Commissioners; and

    (D)

    Execute all processes and have power and authority to preserve peace by suppressing disturbances and apprehending offenders.
