§ 93.40. Assistant chief.

In the absence of the Chief of the Fire Department from the town, or in the event of his or her being prevented from attending to his or her duties by sickness or otherwise, the Assistant Chief shall perform all duties required of the Chief, and shall be clothed with the same authority as the Chief of the Fire Department.
