§ 91.29. Right to probable cause hearing before sale or final disposition.

After removal of a vehicle found to be a junked, abandoned or nuisance vehicle, the
owner or person entitled to possession may, at any time within 20 days of notice of
removal, request in writing a hearing to determine if probable cause existed for removing
the vehicle. The request must be filed with the magistrate's office at the county
courthouse in Beaufort, North Carolina. The magistrate will set a hearing within 72
hours of receipt of the request, and the hearing will be conducted in accordance with
the provisions of G.S. 20-219.11(c), (d), (e) and (f).
