§ 31.03. Town clerk.

  • (A)

    Appointment. The Town Manager shall appoint the Town Clerk.

    (B)

    Oath. The Town Clerk shall take and subscribe the same oath as is prescribed in this chapter for members of the Board of Commissioners.

    (C)

    Bond. The Town Clerk, before entering upon the duties of his or her office, shall execute a bond payable to the town in such sum and with such sureties as shall be required and approved by the Board of Commissioners. The bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of his or her office and that he or she shall properly account for all funds that may come into his or her possession by virtue of his or her office.

    (D)

    Compensation. The Town Clerk shall receive compensation in accordance with the town's adopted personnel policy.
